THERAPY SERVICES

Counselling for the things that are hardest to say out loud

Whatever is weighing on you, you don’t have to find the perfect words before reaching out. Counselling isn’t about having it all figured out, it’s a space to start working through things, at your own pace, without being judged for how you feel.

Some of the things people bring to our sessions

Below are some of the areas I regularly work with. If you don’t see your situation listed, please do get in touch; chances are I can still help.

With Nary, I can…

  • Finally, say the thing I’ve never said out loud
  • Stop holding it together for everyone else
  • Make sense of something that’s felt impossible
  • Feel heard without being judged
  • Take the first step, even if I don’t know where to start

Lets Talk
  • Anxiety & Stress

Constant worry. A racing mind. The feeling that you’re always bracing for something. Anxiety can make everyday life feel exhausting, and it can be hard to explain to people who haven’t felt it. In our sessions, we’ll gently explore what’s driving the anxiety and work towards building real, personal strategies that help.

  • Depression and Low Mood

When low mood takes hold, even small things can feel like an enormous effort. If you’ve lost interest in the things you used to enjoy, feel flat or hopeless, or struggle to get through the day, counselling can offer a way back to yourself. We’ll work at a pace that’s right for you.

Trauma and Abuse

Trauma doesn’t follow a timetable. Whether something happened recently or years ago, its effects can still show up in your everyday life. I work with people who have experienced childhood trauma, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, and financial abuse. You don’t need to have everything neatly processed; we’ll find a way in together.

Grief and Bereavement

Losing someone changes things in ways that are hard to put into words. Grief can arrive as sadness, anger, numbness, or a confusing mix of all three. There’s no right way to grieve, and sessions give you the room to feel whatever you’re actually feeling, without having to hold it together.

Low Self-Esteem and Confidence

If you regularly doubt yourself, find it hard to believe good things about who you are, or feel like you’re not quite enough, you’re far from alone. Person-centred counselling is particularly effective here, because it works from the inside out: helping you reconnect with your own strengths at your own pace.

Relationship Difficulties

Difficult relationships, with partners, family, friends or colleagues, can affect every part of life. Whether you’re dealing with conflict, communication breakdown, betrayal, or you just keep finding yourself in the same patterns, counselling can help you understand what’s happening and what you might want to do differently.

Anger

Anger isn’t always the problem, sometimes it’s what’s underneath the anger that needs attention. If your anger feels out of control, is damaging your relationships, or you feel ashamed of it, counselling gives you a safe place to explore where it’s coming from and what it might be trying to tell you.

Loneliness and Isolation

Feeling disconnected, even when surrounded by people, is one of the most common struggles people bring to counselling. I work with people experiencing loneliness and social isolation in a way that’s free of judgment, because I know it takes courage to even name it.

Life Events and Change

Job loss, serious illness, divorce, infertility, betrayal, life can throw things at us that we simply aren’t prepared for. When you’re in the middle of something that feels unmanageable, it can help to have somewhere to process it without worrying about how the other person will take it.

ADHD and Autism Support

I work with adults and young people who are navigating life with ADHD or autism. Counselling here isn’t about changing who you are, it’s about understanding yourself better and finding approaches to daily life that actually work for you.

Young People

I also work specifically with young people, including through schools. Young people often face pressures around identity, belonging, academic stress, and more and they deserve a space that takes them seriously.
