About Nary
What happens when people
feel truly heard.
A qualified, experienced, and genuinely warm counsellor, with a background rooted in caring for people long before any formal training began.

Hi, I’m Nyarai.
15 years of healthcare before a single counselling session.
For over 15 years, I worked in healthcare, caring for people day in and day out. What I noticed, again and again, was that the moments that made the real difference weren’t the clinical ones; they were the quiet conversations, the moments someone felt safe enough to open up.
Those moments stayed with me, and they’re the reason I trained as a counsellor.
The why
Those moments stayed with me, and they’re the reason I trained as a counsellor. I saw the positive impact that simply being heard had on people, and I wanted to offer that more intentionally and professionally.
“I’m not here to tell you what to feel or what to do. I’m here to give you a space where you can finally hear yourself.”
I’m also bilingual — I offer sessions in both English and Shona. Language matters deeply when you’re talking about difficult things, and you’re welcome to use whichever feels most natural, or move between the two freely.

My Approach
Person-centred means exactly what it says.
You’re at the centre, not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, not someone else’s idea of what you need.
Qualified, registered and fully insured.
Everything is above board, so you can come to sessions with complete peace of mind.
The only exception is if there is an immediate risk to life, in which case I have a professional duty to act. I’ll always explain this fully before we begin, so there are no surprises.
